Jim Bindley has over 40 years experience in recruiting for the legal profession. He founded Bindley Associates in January of 1990. From 1982 until 1990, Jim was the Assistant Dean for Administration at the Indiana University Law School in Indianapolis. He managed the Career Development Office, started the Law School's first Advancement Office, and assisted with admissions and recruiting.

In 1990, Jim felt there was a need for a lawyer recruiting firm in Indiana, and trusted he had the experience, knowledge, and trust of his rolodex to take on the job. Over 30 years later, Jim has placed hundreds of candidates in his career.

Outside of the Midwest, Jim has placed law professionals in Florida, District of Columbia, and overseas in Asia. 

Prior to joining the Law School, Jim practiced law in Indianapolis and was the General Manager of the Indiana Pacers in the last year of the ABA. He was also the Assistant General Manager of the Utah Jazz. He is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans and the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Jim resides in Indianapolis with his wife, Suzy, and their three daughters, Holly, Lilly and Joy.
